Folding Workbench Part II

The workbench is just about finished. It just needs another coat of Danish oil in a few spots, and a ramp to sweep the dust out of the tool well. I really love how functional it is for all of its simplicity. Steve Branam has a good post about how to use this bench here.

  1. Where did you learn your woodworking?

  2. I learned from my father, who is a violin-maker, and then from working in a few shops. I also learned a lot from books and asking older woodworkers questions.

  3. Nice! I love that you made it from recycled hemlock. You'll like this bench, very practical. A little light sometimes for some operations, but you can brace it against a wall or your foot to help steady it.
